Her acting debut was with Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar in 2011, alongside Ranbir Kapoor. Because of her inability to speak in the Hindi spoken in India the voice was recorded over by the voice artist Mona Ghosh Shetty. Nargis Fakhri was born on the 20th of October, 1979 in Queens, New York City, United States to Mohammed Fakhri and Marie Fakhri. Her younger sister is Aliya Fakhri. She is the younger sibling of named Aliya Fakhri. She was 7 when her parents split up and tragically her parents separated and she lost both of her parents a few days later. Marie Fakhri was a policewoman during the time. Nargis believes she is a Global Citizen because of her mixed ethnicity between Pakistani and Czechs as well as her American nation of origin. The career of Fakhri began as model for fashion when she was just 16. In Copenhagen with her friend when she got an email from Imtiaz who wanted to meet her with him in Prague. This was for the production of an Indian film. Nargis Fakhri began dating actor Uday Chopra in 2014. The couple dated until 2017, when they separated. In May of 2018 she made public her engagement with american filmmaker and video editor Matt Alonzo through her Instagram handle. The couple broke up at the beginning of 2019. Her current relationship is with American Chef Justin Santos. Nargis is ranked 72nd in Forbes India's 2014 list of Bollywood stars.
