Despacito from Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi, and Daddy Yankee became the song most streamed at the time within less than six weeks. It was a mixture of pop music and reggaeton has not just brought interest in reggaeton but also brought attention to Latin music generally. The Billboard Top 100 in 2015 had two tracks that were mostly in the Spanish and the year 2016 featured four. Despacito's popularity Despacito was at its highest in 2017. In 2020 the year 2020, 41 mainly Spanish songs are expected to make it into the top 100. Justin Bieber's remix in two languages Despacito came out in the year 2017. Soon after, pop stars began to collaborate with reggaeton singers. Drake collaborated with Bad Bunny on MIA (2018) as well as Madonna collaborated with Maluma to create Medellin. A few performers of reggaeton lamented the trend towards mainstream music in 2020. However, a brand newly formed group called Rauw Alejandro wanted to maintain the development and growth of reggaeton. The genre often included elements of electronic dance music and other forms.
